Medical Assistant Schools in Montana

Montana, the Big Sky State, is home to some of the most beautiful wilderness areas in the country. It is also home to friendly people and outstanding career opportunities. While statistics may show that Montana is relatively low on the list for medical assistant job opportunities, there are still positions available for those who are highly trained and who have an attractive resume. The United States Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that there are currently between 40 and 2,080 medical assistants currently working in the state. This places Montana in the lowest tier for medical assistant jobs, but when it is considered in context of the overall population, it is not as bad as it seems. On the other hand, the Bureau also reports that medical assistants in Montana earn an average salary of between $30,870 and $32,380, which is above the national average.

For an aspiring medical assistant, there is nothing more important than receiving a quality education. There are only two programs in Montana that have the proper accreditation to allow graduates to take the Certified Medical Assistant examination, but students may also be able to get an accredited education online.
